R&R Design Studio was brought in by Architect Chris Gilman at the beginning of this ground-up project, ensuring all elements of design and functionality were incorporated before construction drawings were finalized. The clients wanted both a contemporary, modern showplace and a warm, timeless family home — within a tight budget. R&R's master plan created a fluid, functional footprint for this busy family. Detailed ceilings soar overhead, while teak floors flow underfoot, and expansive windows meld outside and inside. For maximum minimalist impact, R&R focused on a mixture of architectural elements, as well as color, texture and natural materials — all against a clean, bright, white backdrop.
The cozy dining banquette and CaeserStone table serve as a family hub, with ample bench storage and power outlets under the seats, so all three kids can plug in their laptops and do their homework under the watchful gaze of their parents.
