Chateau Tres Belle
Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.
Noble, yet romantic. Regal, yet warmly informal. R&R Design Studio was charged with creating the look and feel of a 300-year-old French castle — one that offers every possible modern amenity and convenience. R&R worked with master artisans to custom craft wonderfully ornate wood details (from the massive front door to the finest crown moldings), as well as one-of-a-kind finishes and custom furnishings throughout the 12,000-square-foot residence. The use of soaring glass and careful planning, both inside and out, enhanced the strong sense of space and made the most of the incredible natural surroundings. Three years in the making, this brand-new construction was designed by renowned architect Richard Salpietra and built by master builder Scott Pursell.
The paneled library vaults two stories to a beautifully detailed ceiling, showcasing the intricate woodwork. Custom-produced, diamond-etched glass evokes Old World charm while allowing natural light and glorious views to pour in.
